Woman, 67, Still Missing

BASSETERRE, St.Kitts– A missing 67-year-old Kittitian woman has yet to be located after more than two weeks since she was last seen.

On the afternoon of Monday 10th July, police issued a missing person flyer concerning Elphina Williams of Cabbage Tree Housing in Cayon.

Police say her family last had contact with her on 29th June 2017, and that she was last seen on 5th July 2017 in the Brighton area.

She has not been seen or heard from since.

Williams is described as being 5 feet 4 inches in height, medium built with a brown complexion.

Her date of birth is given as 24th December 1950 and St.Kitts is her birth country.

Anyone who has any information on the woman’s whereabouts are asked to contact the Cayon police station 465-7258 or the nearest police station or call Crimestoppers at 1-800-8477.

 

The local authorities have indicated that information provided will be held confidential and that individuals may be eligible for a reward.

United States Supports Cultural Preservation at Historic Bath Hotel in Nevis

On January 17, the U.S. Embassy joined representatives of the Government of St. Kitts and Nevis, including Nevis Premier, the Honorable Mark Brantley, along with members of the Nevis Historical and Conservation Society at the Bath Hotel in Nevis to mark the successful completion of the second phase of restoration and stabilization work at the historic site. The project was supported through the U.S. Government’s Ambassador’s Fund for Cultural Preservation, with total funding of just over US$400,000 provided across two phases.
