BASSETERRE (Friday 29th January 2021) — Four volunteers from the Republic of China (Taiwan) have taken up residency in St. Kitts-Nevis to provide services at government units in the areas of nutrition, public health, information technology and agriculture, as part of the annual Taiwan ICDF Overseas Volunteer Program. The four volunteers — Ivan Chiou (IT, Ministry of Foreign Affairs), Mavvis Wu (Agriculture, Dept of Agriculture), Wendy Tsay (Nutrition, Ministry of Education Nevis), and Ya-Chen Lin (second year, Ministry of Health) — are all experiencing their first time in the Caribbean. Ambassador Tom Lee described them as “cultural ambassadors” who “are willing to spend time contributing to St. Kitts-Nevis here without a salary.”
