BASSETERRE, St. Kitts (Thursday 29th September 2022) — 14-year-old Maleah Erskine of St. Kitts-Nevis has been named the Aspire Artemis Foundation’s newest STE(A)M Ambassador. The foundation expressed special thanks to Hollywood Cinematographer Hollis Meminger, Founder of Bridgebuilder Cinematic Arts, for taking her on a field trip to explore New York City during her very first trip to the United States. Erskine has also been applauded for being the youngest person at her age to enter the country’s tertiary education system. During her trip she was able to attend meetings and meet industry leaders, influencers, artists, musicians and many others who will serve as guides on her future journey. The Aspire Artemis Foundation is an organisation thoroughly committed to improving the lives of girls and women from vulnerable and disadvantaged backgrounds through innovative early interventions, education, information sharing, research and training.

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts (Tuesday 28th September 2022) — A woman in her 40s who was reportedly missing was found dead the day after she was reported missing by police. Dead is 43-year-old Zona Hamilton of Barnes Ghaut, Nevis. A Police bulletin issued on Friday 23rd September 2022 indicated that the woman was last seen on Wednesday 21st September at about 1 a.m. on Government Road in Charlestown, Nevis, wearing a brown blouse, a plaid skirt with blue, brown, green and red stripes, and black sneakers. A police source confirmed on 24th September: “The body of Zona Hamilton who was reported missing was found this morning in the area where she was last seen. Further details will be provided later.”
