BASSETERE, St. Kitts (Friday 4th May 2018) –This week, a top ranking member of the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force has become the latest homicide victim after he was found dead with signs of violence about his body.
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the discovery of the lifeless body of a slain colleague in Dieppe Bay yesterday morning (Thursday).
Dead is 37-year old Sgt. Dwight Davis better known as Nuncie or Jerry of St. Paul’s who served in the police force for almost 20 years.
According to reliable sources, the man’s body was found at the Beaumont Park area and bore signs of bullet wounds.
Residents in the area reported hearing two to three gunshots at around 7:00 P.M the day (Wednesday) before the body was found.
The shooting death of Davis takes the homicide total to ten (10) in the Federation for 2018 with seven on St.Kitts and three on Nevis.
Prime Minister and Minister of National Security, Dr. Timothy Harris, uttered words of sympathies to the officer’s family at the start of yesterday’s (Thursday) National Assembly.
