BASSETERRE, St. Kitts (Friday 21st September 2018)- Constable Lennox Hodge of the Nevis Division was formally arrested and charged on Thursday, September 20 for two traffic-related offences.

Such information has been released by the Police Public Relations Department on the heels of an article by the opposition St.Kitts-Nevis Labour Party levelling claims of victimisation.

Police say officer Hodge was charged for Driving Without a Valid and Unexpired Driver’s License and for Driving Without Insurance.

Reportedly, he was driving a privately owned vehicle at the time of the incident.

He is expected to appear before the Basseterre Magistrate Court today (Friday).

Police say that further, as in all cases when an officer is charged with an offence and put before the Court, Constable Hodge is also expected to be suspended from duty with half pay until the matter is disposed of at the Court.
