Victim Of Friars Bay Incident Identified

BASSETERRE, St.Kitts (Tuesday 18th September 2018)-Paul Mitchum of Cayon, 60, has been identified as the man who died yesterday after an incident at Friars Bay located at the South East Peninsula.

Police say preliminary investigations have revealed that Mitchum experienced difficulty while at sea and was pulled out of the water by a family member.

Reportedly, the Emergency Medical Service (EMS) was called and was unable to revive Mitchum after performing Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).

The District Medical Doctor was summoned and Mitchum was pronounced dead at the scene.

An autopsy is expected to be performed shortly

Investigations into the matter are ongoing.
