BASSETERRE, St. Kitts (Thursday 2nd April 2026)u2014With an occasion to mark having won three (3) separate athletic championship titles this year, the Tucker Clarke Primary Schoolu2014the Titansu2014celebrated their most recent win of capturing the RAMS Inter-Primary School Championship with a victory motorcade and jam session through the streets of Basseterre.
On the morning of Tuesday 31st March 2026, students, staff, parents and other supporters clad in the schoolu2019s red colours took to the streets in celebration following their performance at the championship from a field of 18 other participating schools coupled with the Basseterre Zone Public Primary School Championships and the Champs of Champs achievements.
At the end of the two-day event held from Saturday 28th March to Sunday 29th March, team Titans secured an impressive medal tally. The school copped 15 gold medals, 10 silver medals and 10 bronze medals following the final medal count after the competition.
Following in second place was Dr. William Connor Primary School, finishing with 11 gold, 17 silver and 8 bronze medals, while Sandy Point Primary School secured the third spot with 10 gold, 11 silver and 5 bronze medals.
Head Teacher of Tucker Clarke Primary Wrennelcia Gumbs, speaking with this media house during the victory event, applauded the role of athletic trainer Timothy Morton, whose involvement she credited as instrumental in the schoolu2019s success.
When asked whether the school did anything different in preparing its athletes this year, Gumbs highlighted: u201cWe got a trainer for the studentsu2026he assisted us and he did an excellent job and we are more than grateful for his support and his guidance throughout the sports term.u201d
Reflecting on the schoolu2019s recent achievements, she noted that the momentum has been building.
u201cLast year won the spelling bee competition and this yearu2019s won zonal championshipsu2026and so the only way from here is up, and of course we are very proud of that.u201d
She also underscored the significance of the victory for the school.
u201cThe first year that the Tucker Clarke Primary School out of the 16 years that we ever won the Basseterre zonalsu2026and we also won the Champs of Champs and the RAMs Inter Primary and we are extremely excited.u201d
During the celebrations, Parliamentary Representative for East Basseterre, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education and Youth Empowerment Geoffrey Hanley joined the festivities and congratulated the young champions.

Of note in January, the Titans won the Bank of Nevis Limited Basseterre Zone Public Primary School Championships, outperforming three (3) others with 23 gold medals, 14 silver medals and 14 bronze medals. The other schools were: Dr. William Connor Primaryu201417 gold medals, 21 silver medals and 12 bronze medals; Halliday-Smith Primaryu20142 gold medals, 5 silver medals and 8 bronze medals; Beach Allen Primaryu20142 gold medals, 4 silver medals and 10 bronze medals.
Next in February, they emerged the Giant Malt Champs of Champs beating three other schools with 20 gold medals, 14 silver medals and 17 bronze medals. The other schools were: St. Pauls Primary in second place with 12 gold medals, 4 silver medals and 11 bronze medals followed by Sandy Point with 6 gold medals, 18 silver medals and 10 bronze medals and Cayon Primaryu20146 gold medals, 8 silver medals and 6 bronze medals.
