BASSETERRE (Friday 6th November 2020) — A search and rescue operation for 19-year-old Jesroy Mulcaire of Zion, a crew member on the M.V. Apple Syder, went on for over an hour on Friday 30th October before his body was found approximately 100 yards from the Basseterre Ferry Terminal Pier. Police investigations revealed that Mulcaire had gone to the bow of the vessel on the port side in preparation for docking when he fell into the water. His body was later retrieved close by and brought ashore where he was pronounced dead by the District Medical Doctor. An autopsy will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death.
