History was made last evening, February 24th, at the Opening Ceremony of the 50th Regular Meeting of the Conference of Heads of Government of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM), as all leaders of the full Member States gathered in one place, the first time in over a decade that such full attendance has been recorded.

Ministry of Sustainable Development collaborates on Mangrove Restoration Training

The Ministry of Sustainable Development through the Public Sector Investment Program (PSIP) supported the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) who led a four-day mangrove restoration training. It took place from 7 - 10 November 2023 at Reggae Beach Pond and Major’s Bay Pond with key stakeholders. The training was guided by the theme “Improving Environmental Management through Sustainable Land Management in St. Kitts and Nevis”.

In a thrilling and educational weeklong series of educational sessions taking place throughout various primary schools in St. Kitts, the Ministry of Environment, Climate Action, and Constituency Empowerment proudly introduced Captain SDG, the latest addition to the environmental superhero league. The acronym "SDG" derives its inspiration from the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals, and Captain SDG is set to become the emblematic advocate for environmental sustainability and responsibility in St. Kitts and Nevis.
