St. Kitts Snatches Caribbean Talented Teen Crown

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts (January 2019) – Miss St. Kitts Anya Seetahal, on Sunday 30th December won the 2018/2019 Haynes Smith Caribbean Talented Teen Pageant held at the St. Kitts Marriott before a full-house audience.

The talented beauty won the coveted title from a field of eight other contestants.

Miss St. Kitts won three of the four judged segments- Best Theatrical Appearance Best Performing Talent and Best Onstage Interview.

She scored a total of 523 points.

For her talent performance, she did an acrobatic kind of routine which won cheers and applause from the audience while during the interview segment, she gave an eloquent assessment on her passion and her personal development through the artform.

St. Lucia’s Francine Mason, amassed a total of 475.50 points to secure the First- runner-up spot.

Miss Barbados, Cherece Richards, was adjudged the Second-Runner up position with 466.50.

The evening wear segment was won by Miss Dominica.

Ms. Seetahal received the crown from the outgoing 2017/2018 Haynes Smith Miss Caribbean Talented Teen Queen, Ms. Tasyanna Clifton, of French St. Martin and was crowned by Deputy Prime Minister Shawn Richards in the wee hours of Monday morning.

Also competing in the pageant were Keshaundia Quinn of the USVI, Charisma Jones-Chin of Anguilla, Anastasia Salickram of Trinidad and Tobago, Jorjanna Albert of Dominica, Sharon McAlmont of Antigua and Barbuda and Sidondre Flemming of the sister isle Nevis.

A. Paul Southwell, Sir Joseph France, and Sir Simeon Daniel. Recognition and special presentation to the only living National Hero, the Right Excellent and the Right Honourable Dr. Sir Kennedy Simmonds will also take place.
