Five awardees were chosen for the inaugural Ward-Hanley Scholarship and Mentorship program provided by SKNYPA, announced at the Innovation Hub at the National ICT Centre on Tuesday 8th September, 2020. The recipients — Kervin Fahie, Dequandre Liburd, Joshua Edgar (Cayon High School), Jonesh Rogers (Washington Archibald High School) and Anaya Rouse (Charles E. Mills Secondary) — will each receive a back-to-school material package, $350 for additional school expenses, and a year of mentorship. The scholarship is named after founding fathers the Late Desmond E. Ward and Hon. Dr. Geoffrey Hanley.
