BASSETERRE (Friday 27th November 2020) — A female who failed to follow restrictions after visiting a high-risk traveller in quarantine has herself been placed in quarantine at her own expense. Superintendent Cromwell Henry disclosed at the NEOC briefing on Wednesday 11th November that “despite being warned by security personnel on duty, the young lady came in close contact with the person in quarantine.” The CMO directed that she be quarantined for 14 days at another designated quarantine site. Regulation 14 of the Emergency Powers Regulations prohibits any person from visiting quarantine or isolation stations without authorisation.
