The perimeter fence of the Pinney’s Beach Park on Nevis will soon be transformed into a mural of Nevisian art and culture, following an initiative by the Ministry of Tourism in Nevis teaming up with local artists. Mr. Vincent Lai, consultant with the Taiwanese Technical Mission for St. Kitts and Nevis, conceptualised the initiative. Mr. John Hanley, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Tourism on Nevis, said: “We thought it would be a good idea to decorate the fence with some local art and we’ve invited some of our most illustrious and celebrated artists to join with us.” Drawings and artwork from students in Nevis and Taiwan will also be printed on ceramic tiles for the visitor centre at the park. Murals are expected to be completed before the end of December 2020.
