Kittitian Gunned Down In Nevis

BASSETERRE, St.Kitts (DECEMBER 2107) – A young man in his early 20s was shot dead yesterday morning (Thursday 14th December) on the sister isle of Nevis.

Killed was Japeth Brown of Bricklin.

As understood, he originally hails from the village of St. Paul’s in St.Kitts.

Police received a report that gun shots were being fired at Hull Ground, Gingerland at about 10:45 a.m. on and when they responded, they found Brown’s lifeless body.

He was reportedly shot multiple times about the body.

The District Medical Officer, Shandy Jacobs pronounced him dead.

Police are appealing for the help of the public and are urging persons with information about the incident to contact the Gingerland Police Station at 469-3448, the nearest Police Station or Crime Stoppers at 1-800- 8477 (TIPS).

Brown’s death brings the Federation’s homicide count for the year to 23 with 9 on Nevis and 14 on St.Kitts.
