BASSETERRE, St.Kitts- Information reaching this media house have indicated that the young man who recently drowned at a popular bay over at the South East Peninsula was an identical twin.

Police have identified the deceased as 29-year-old Torday Burroughs of Cayon.

As gathered, he carried the nickname ‘Smallie’ while his surviving twin brother is known as ‘Biggie’.

On the afternoon of Thursday 4th January, police responded to report of a drowning at Friars Bay.

Reports indicate that Burroughs of Cayon was at Carambola with friends where he later went into the water.

Further Reports also reveal that after a while he was not seen and when his friends went looking for him, they noticed that he was floating on the water and pulled him out.

The Emergency Medical Service was called and Burroughs was transported to the JNF Hospital where he was pronounced dead by Dr. Gutierrez.

Police say an autopsy will be performed shortly. Police investigations into the matter are ongoing.
