Fair Share For All: Tongues, Pens And Honorariums — The NGOs That Lost Their Voice After 2015

People thought that Trinidad was the land of bobol, but SKN under the Team Unity government took away that title from them. God is good for real, for if Unity didn’t mash up, every single minister would have become multi-billionaires and their close family and friends multi-millionaires out of our treasury. Papa Doc and Ferdinand Marcos don’t have anything over these vagabonds who were voted into office in February 2015 and again in June 2020. When we in Labour were questioning how it was possible for a minister to give away half of his salary and still build a million-dollar house, very few took us on. When we in Labour asked how the deputy could even afford to buy bread after paying the mortgages on his condos, his renovated house and his luxury vehicles, very few took us on. And when we in Labour talked about all the businesses that the PM had interest in, very, very few took us on.

Now all these leaks and counter-leaks have shocked and embarrassed the entire federation. Yet with all this catterflam in the federation, a minority government being accused of doing everything that goes against free and fair elections, tiefing, racketeering and honorariums that can’t done, the Chamber and all the other NGOs who were vocal when the St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party was in power continue to remain mute. Yes. All who had the most to say and write before 2015 have lost their tongues and their pens.

So all of this is telling us Labour candidates and supporters that we are on our own. We have to rely on ourselves to do what needs to be done. We have to master our voter’s lists. We must know who is registered and who isn’t. We must know who is voting for us and who isn’t. We must pound the pavement and knock on every single door. The people want a change in government. The people want the St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party in government. Let’s not disappoint them. Vote for the caring, all-embracing hand of Labour.
