When three persons are protesting — that’s right, one, two, three persons leaning up on a wall in front of the Church of God of Prophecy in Cayon — and police and soldiers armed to the teeth are sent to make them move, we know that we are not dealing with a rational person. We know that a dictator is on the loose. Timothy was attending church there. Another of his campaign stops. So these three persons, who are well known in their respective communities as decent, upstanding, hardworking citizens with no criminal records, decided to have a peaceful protest. The pastor arrived and interacted with them in a most cordial and Christian-like manner. In fact, he shook hands with each one of the protesters. But Timothy was having none of that. A call went out and the security forces arrived — police in bulletproof vests carrying long guns, soldiers in bulletproof vests with longer guns, both with their fingers on the trigger.

Now they are talking about the peace programme. How they don’t know anything about it. How if PAM runs the programme it would be run better. There would be better accountability. Now they are talking about fair share for Nevis from the sale of our passports — the very passports that they wanted to crucify Douglas for selling. Everything that they did not do, they will now do: integrity in public life, universal insurance, gratuity and pension for non-establishment workers, Basseterre High School, water shortage solution. Why are big men trying to fool big people? Every single problem or issue that Timothy did not allow them to address will now be solved and resolved, they say.

So with all these accusations and counter-accusations from the former members of the Unity government, the only voice of reason and calm is that of the St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party. The only party that is showing the world that it is serious about providing mature and stable leadership is the St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party. General elections are around the corner. All SKNLP candidates, please stop at every single house in your constituency and ask for the vote. Voters, please go out to vote and make the X by the caring, steady, all welcoming, all-embracing hand of the St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party.
