Development Bank of St. Kitts and Nevis is once again the platinum sponsor of King Socrates’ Legends Calypso Tent, with rehearsals opening Tuesday October 27th at OOJJ’s Complex in Camps. Development Bank Marketing Officer Ms. Chantelle Rochester presented a sponsorship cheque of $10,000, noting the Bank recognises King Socrates as “one of our great cultural icons” for passing on calypso skills to upcoming performers. The tent has 17 calypsonians this year, including 20-year-old newcomer Nyailah Walters. The calypso show is slated for Saturday 14th November, with the competition running eliminations followed directly by the finals with 16 calypsonians competing, due to COVID-19 restrictions.
