BASSETERRE, St. Kitts (Friday 15th November 2019) – Another knife-point rape report is before the attention of police on St.Kitts after another female was allegedly attacked over the past weekend, two months after a similar incident.
Police are currently investigating that case which also took place in the Basseterre area on Saturday 9th November 2019, and was reported at about 12:30 a.m.
Investigations so far have revealed that a male assailant held the female at knife point, pulled her into nearby bushes and assaulted her.
Two months ago, police indicated that they were searching for a man who sexually assaulted a young female at knife point in an unoccupied building in the Basseterre area on Friday 6th September 2019 which was reported at about 10:45 p.m.
Preliminary reports indicate that a male assailant held the victim, pulled her into the building and assaulted her.
As it relates to recent sexual crime update, police had publicised that on Monday 30th September 2019, a man was formally charged for three offences which include a sex crime committed against another male The offences namely Burglary, Rape and Buggery were reportedly committed on Tuesday 4th June 2019.
Recently also, police informed that a man from St. Kitts was charged for two (2) counts of Unlawful Carnal Knowledge on Wednesday 23rd October 2019 for the offences committed in November 2018 and between February and March 2019 while two other males from the Basseterre area were on Friday 25th October 2019 formally charged by police for the offence said to have occurred on Monday 12th August 2019.
Regarding the most recent sexual assault incident, police are making a special appeal to persons who might have any information regarding this incident to contact the Special Victims Unit (SVU) by dialing 465-2241 ext. 4252 or via cell phone at 665-3091.
Individuals may also contact the nearest police station or call the crime hotline at 707 if they have information that can lead to the apprehension of the perpetrator.
