BASSETERRE (Friday 19th February 2021) — Customers of the St. Kitts-Nevis-Anguilla National Bank are demanding more information about what exactly happened during a first-time IT security incident that disrupted services starting 11 February. By Thursday 18 February, the bank had issued four press releases and confirmed that ATMs, wire transfers, point of sale, debit card services, and email had been restored. In its most recent statement, the bank stated: “It is important to stress that this is an isolated incident and we have never experienced a similar incident in our history.” The bank assured customers that there has been “no theft of funds from the bank” and thanked them for their understanding and patience.
