BASSETERRE (Friday 2nd October 2020) — Fundraising efforts are ongoing to cover the medical expenses for 30-year-old Jahvin Browne, a physically challenged father of two, who is in need of a lifesaving overseas surgery for the endovascular repair of his iliac aneurysm. A fundraiser event was held at Independence Square on Friday 25th September. According to his gofundme.com profile, without surgery the natural course of an iliac artery aneurysm is progressive expansion with eventual rupture, “associated with exceedingly high mortality rates.” The surgical fees and hospital costs total TT$246,000.
