Three entrepreneurs have emerged as winners of the inaugural OECS-Republic Bank Business Model Competition, a strategic initiative of the OECS Sustainable Development Movement. Jody White of Slimdown360 (Trinidad & Tobago) took first place with US$20,000; Trevaun Solomon of Project Jaguar: The Home of the Teacherpreneur (Antigua & Barbuda) took second with US$10,000; and Alex Straun of Genesis Payment Solutions (St. Kitts and Nevis) took third with US$5,000. The final was a pitch battle with Daymond John, Star of ABC’s Shark Tank, featuring the top eight entrepreneurs from 30 Caribbean participants.
