BASSETERRE, St.Kitts (Sunday 26th November, 2017)– Three juveniles are in police custody assisting with the investigation regarding last night’s shooting death of a 27-year-old man in the St. Johnston’s Village.
Dead is Theon Audain, a resident of that West Basseterre community.
This media house understands that he carried the nicknames ‘Chubby’ and ‘CNote’.
Police say that enquiries so far have revealed that the incident took place at about 11:30 PM that night at the junction of Wigley Avenue and Union Street .
Reportedly, Audain was standing on the corner, close to Tony Berry’s Shop, where a carnival troupe was being launched.
Furthermore, while there alone, someone or some persons fired several shots at him. He was struck multiple times about the body and died at the scene.
Dr Reginald O’Loughlin was summoned and pronounced Audain dead.
The scene was processed, and several items of evidential value were taken into police custody.
Audain’s death has taken the Federation’s homicide count to 22nd with 14 on St.Kitts and 8 on Nevis.
