BASSETERRRE, St.Kitts (SATURDAY 17th MARCH 2018)- the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force has informed today that a report recently made about an underage girl being physically and sexually on is not true.

A police report issued has revealed: “Further investigations have taken place into a report made to the Police on Thursday (March 15) stating that a female juvenile was physically and sexually assaulted. Though the child did experience an unfortunate situation, the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force has concluded that the details of the incident are not as reported.”

The local authorities say that another agency will be involved to follow-up on this matter.

“We are happy to inform that no physical harm was done to the child and that the Probation and Child Protection Services is now involved to ensure that the necessary follow-up measures are taken to assist the child in every way possible.”

Media workers and members of the public are being urged to respect the child’s privacy.

“As this is still a very sensitive matter, and considering the vulnerability of the child, we are asking members of the media and the public to respect the child’s privacy.”
