The West Indies team departed Barbados on Tuesday for the tour of New Zealand, with all squad members having tested negative for COVID-19. The team will quarantine in Christchurch before commencing training. The tour features three T20 Internationals followed by two ICC World Test Championship matches, starting with the T20s at Eden Park in Auckland on November 27th. CWI CEO Johnny Grave said: “This is the West Indies’ second tour in 2020, making them the only international team to fulfil two away tours during the COVID-19 pandemic. Fans all around the world have been missing their favourite sports, so we want to continue to play our part to bring joy and smiles to those who support and enjoy our cricket.”
