BASSETERRE (Friday 25th September 2020) — The West Basseterre Bus Terminal on the Bay Road was officially opened on Tuesday 22nd September 2020, following a two-week trial. The project, which began in October 2019 and was completed in August 2020, came at an overall cost of EC$2.7 million covered by SCASPA. Minister of Tourism Lindsay Grant praised the West Line Bus Association President Nicholson ‘Rambo’ Webster for approaching the government with a graphic design and ideas for the terminal’s layout, which were largely implemented. “What we are seeing here today is not just here by chance; it is the result of citizens being proactive, being efficient and being disciplined,” said Grant.
