BASSETERRE (Friday 26th March 2021) — The Sugar Boyz kicked off their 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign with an impressive 1-0 victory over Puerto Rico at the Panamerican Stadium in the Dominican Republic on Wednesday 24th March 2021. Vinceroy Nelson’s lone goal near the end of the first half proved enough to secure the win. The team next faces the Bahamas on Saturday 27th March 2021. CWI and the ECB also this week announced an expanded England Men’s Tour of the West Indies in 2022, featuring five T20Is and three Tests for the new Richards-Botham Trophy.
