Oh land of bobol, our country where corruption abounds! The big question on the mind of most everyone is this: ‘Is it possible for matters pertaining to St Kitts and Nevis to be worse than they are now?’ The answer: Yes! Realistically, we have not heard anything as yet! Dear people, we are in a very bad way. Most persons had no idea as to just what we were getting ourselves into in February of 2015, when we allowed our country to fall into the hands of what was to become known as SCHEME UNITY, their ascension to power most ably aided and abetted by the so-called OPERATION RESCUE. Now, we are witnessing the most reckless abuse of our nation’s hard-earned economic and financial resources being misused to keep us in subjugation.

On an hourly basis we learn of the open and reckless buying of votes and our people’s other favours. Hence the open attempts to buy votes, and to use persons in the diaspora, along with nationals of their countries, to shore up the decaying structures of a most rotten regime. What we are now witnessing is a most outrageous attempt to steal an election so that an evil creature might perpetuate, and institutionalise, a dictatorship like many of those which have bedevilled the poor, black people of most African countries in the immediate post-colonial era. Note well the personalisation of the naked emperor: how he has surrounded himself with weaklings, persons who are too afraid to stand up to him; the weekly full-page pictures and self-worshipping articles in a certain newspaper; the huge picture on the Fort Street building and the billboards; the tripe being doled out over social media on an unending basis.

What all of this is saying to us, dear people, is that we simply cannot afford to relax. We must re-double our efforts to stop this constitutional and political menace. We have to work untiringly to ensure that he fails in his devilish endeavours. Dear comrades, friends, and supporters, people of St Kitts and Nevis all! Fight on. Fear not. Never give up! We simply cannot afford to do so. The struggle continues! Always remember: PLP IS NOT LABOUR!
