The St. Kitts-Nevis Football Association (SKNFA) welcomes the decision by FIFA President Gianni Infantino to withdraw the proposed FIFA Football Fund Enterprise (FFE) initiative.
The SKNFA appreciates President Infantino’s commitment to bringing together and maintaining the unity of all 211 FIFA Member Associations. We believe that unity, dialogue, consultation, and respect for established institutional processes are essential to the continued development of football globally.
The SKNFA is grateful for the financial and technical support provided by FIFA over the past 10 years under President Infantino’s leadership. This support has made a significant difference to football development in St. Kitts and Nevis.
Through FIFA’s support, the SKNFA qualified for its first major international tournament in 2023 and has been able to participate in numerous youth and women’s competitions. FIFA’s support has also enabled the Association to provide assistance to its member clubs through the Member Association Assistance Programme (MAP), while advancing infrastructure, technical development, and capacity-building initiatives.
The SKNFA firmly believes that the established institutional processes within FIFA must be respected. We will not support any Member Association or Confederation that seeks to undermine these processes or weaken the unity and governance structures of the global football family.
The SKNFA therefore reaffirms its support for President Gianni Infantino’s leadership and vision and looks forward to supporting him as he continues to complete his current constitutional mandate and advance the development of football for all 211 Member Associations.
