BASSETERRE (Friday 22nd January 2021) — Police on St. Kitts have charged 35-year-old Tabari Roberts of Lower Thibou Avenue, McKnight for the murders of 19-year-old Lamont Heyliger and 18-year-old Jahquan Merritt, who were shot in a shed in their community on Monday 11th January 2021. Roberts was charged on Friday 15th January and remanded to Her Majesty’s Prison. Autopsy reports confirmed Heyliger died from hypovolemic shock due to multiple gunshot wounds, while Merritt died from a single gunshot wound to the head. Reliable reports indicate the murdered teenagers were close friends who were often seen together.
