BASSETERRE, St. Kitts (Friday 23rd February 2024)- In a delightful extension of the celebration of love and joy, Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis Dr. Terrance Drew and his wife Diani recently hosted a local wedding cocktail event on Saturday 17th February 2024 at Carambola Beach Club, located at the South East Peninsula, following the exchanging of vows during an intimate ceremony held in Barbados one week earlier.
Attendees warmly welcomed the newly-wed couple with cheers and applause upon entry to the venue and took the opportunity to extend best wishes as the Drews walked about greeting and interacting with their guests. In giving remarks, PM Drew expressed: “On behalf of my wife Diani and I” – which was met with thunderous cheers from the guests“I want to welcome all of you for being here this evening.
As you know we had a simple, small ceremony in Barbados a week ago today but we wanted to return home and have a celebration with all of you and so we feel blessed that you all are here.” Following such sentiments of marital bliss, the cocktail guests joined in toasting to the union of Prime Minister Drew and his wife Diani Prince-Drew in an ambiance of live music, delectable cuisine and an outpouring of support and happiness. Among those in attendance were Governor General Dame Marcella Liburd, Members of Cabinet including Deputy Prime Minister Dr.
Geoffrey Hanley, Attorney General Garth Wilkin, Cabinet Secretary Dr. Marcus Natta, Marsha Henderson, Dr. Denzil L. Douglas, Isalean Phillip, and resident ambassadors including Michael Lin of the Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan) and David Rivero of the Embassy of Cuba as well as close family members and friends of the newly-wed couple.
