BASSETERRE, St. Kitts (Thursday 21st September 2023)- Multiple drones took to the air to form various patriotic shapes for the special 40th Independence anniversary event held at the Warner Park Cricket Stadium in Basseterre ushering in Independence Day-Tuesday 19th September 2023after 1:00 AM following the annual Independence Ceremonial parade.
For that first ever drone show in St. Kitts-Nevis, the crowd took pleasure is applauding and cheering with excitement. Many people while looking up at the aerial display had fun guessing the upcoming figures and with much patriotic delight shouted the answer.
The scores of spectators also used their cellphones to capture the historic moment. Shapes which lit up like constellations in the sky included the twin-island federation, National Flag, the nation’s first National Hero Robert L.
Bradshaw, the national bird-the Brown Pelican, the words ‘ST.KITTS AND NEVIS’, A locomotive (train) with the ‘choo choo’ sound effect and this year’s ‘40’ logo.
