NEVIS RESTAURANT WEEK 2022 TASTING SHOWCASE — July 14, 2022
NIA CHARLESTOWN NEVIS (July 14, 2022) — As part of the activities for Restaurant Week 2022, the Ministry of Tourism on Nevis will host its Tasting Showcase on Saturday July 16, 2022 at the Malcolm Guishard Recreational Park. Permanent Secretary Mr. John Hanley said the objective is to give members of the public an opportunity to sample the tasty selections on offer at the various restaurants and beverage sponsors participating in Restaurant Week. “Come out to the Malcolm Guishard Recreational Park on July 16 and be prepped and ready to sample all of the creative sweet potato dishes that will be on offer, and we hope that you will certainly support the twenty-five participating restaurants,” he said. The event will run from 2 to 5 p.m. and tickets are $30. The annual St. Kitts-Nevis Restaurant Week runs from July 14–24, 2022, with this year’s featured local ingredient being sweet potato.
ZACK ENCOURAGES CHILDREN TO JOIN ANNUAL MUSICAL SUMMER WORKSHOP — July 13, 2022
BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS (Wednesday 13th July 2022) — Coordinator of the upcoming 16th annual Traditional Musical Workshop Winston ‘Zack’ Nisbett is encouraging parents and guardians to get their children involved in the 2022 session. More than twenty children ages four to twelve are expected to partake, with lessons on featured instruments including the fife, banjo, quatro and guitar, conducted at Zack’s Historical-Cultural Library and Museum at Buckley’s Estate in Basseterre. Under the theme ‘Independence Awareness,’ the workshop runs from Wednesday 3rd August to Friday 26th August 2022 from 9AM daily, followed by a graduation ceremony on Saturday 27th August.
