BASSETERRE (Friday 9th October 2020) — Opposition Parliamentary Representative for Constituency One Dr. Geoffrey Hanley says he is disappointed that images of rejected ballots from the June 2020 General Elections have been shared on social media before the court matter has been concluded. A judge-ordered recount of the ballots was conducted at the High Court on Friday 2nd October 2020, with a ruling expected on 16th October. Dr. Hanley said: “Going forward, much more must be put in place to ensure that these things don’t happen — from either side — because it is not a good reflection on the system.” He expressed confidence about the outcome, saying his faith in God was unwavering throughout the challenge.
