BASSETERRE (Friday 18th September 2020) — Police officers who responded to an armed robbery in the Golf View community in Frigate Bay on Wednesday 16th September 2020 — National Heroes Day — are being hailed as heroes after foiling the broad daylight criminal attempt. A swift response resulted in four males and four firearms being taken into police custody. The suspects were all wearing masks, bullet proof vests, gloves and sunglasses. Firearms recovered included one Diamondback .380 pistol, one Taurus Millennium Pro pistol and two Mac-9 high-powered pistols. Commissioner of Police Hilroy Brandy commended the officers and urged the public: “Say something when you see something and report crime to the Police immediately.”
