Fair Share For All: Police, Videos And Tsunamis

The St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party needs to remain laser focused on the prize. Heed the much touted buzz words and don’t get distracted by the noise. While we must remain concerned and try to understand what is happening in our beloved federation, we must concentrate all of our efforts in ensuring that we are ready. We really do not know what will happen. For that reason, we must not be caught off guard and then the joke is on us.

So, the police finally charged Lindsay. After two long months. Two long months of tossing the matter from COP to DPP to COP. It seems to many that the COP is perceived to be working with Timothy — PLP, while the DPP is alleged to be working with Shawn/Lindsay — PAM. This is what is being said by people who claim to know what is going on. That is why “certain elements in the government,” to quote Lindsay, wanted him charged and others in the same government were rooting for him to be exonerated.

The police need to tread carefully. Videos of people involved in altercations appear in people’s perception to be enough and no investigation has to be launched when it is ordinary people. When it’s their peers or their politician friends, a completely different set of rules and protocols come into play. People’s perception is their reality. And if too many people see firsthand this type of blatant discrimination, the police may be setting up themselves for even more problems down the road. I also learned that the Covid Task Force has been disbanded — further proof that the case is throwing out. Our attention is now being directed towards preparing for tsunamis and other weather phenomena. Any chance to make money and save money should be taken. Too many people are scrunting. Struggling. Can’t get the ends to meet.
