Two years ago in 2020, it was “who out, stay out.” Two years later, Timothy has sent two messengers to the diaspora to persuade those he was viciously trying to disenfranchise to come home to vote for him. Timothy wants them to come for Music Festival and stay for a whole month — and he will pay them their salaries. Timothy has no respect for anyone. He treats people like objects, commodities. He rounded up and locked up the “Spanish” to deport them. Now look at how he wants to empty the treasury for them because he is trying to use them. He verbally abused all people of the region by telling them how they “bang water to get here.” Now look at how he is prepared to empty the treasury to bring them here for a month and pay them full wages and salaries while they are here. Can I get a WOW?
I’m happy to hear Mark say that he was prepared to resign if Timothy had persisted with his plan to disenfranchise the overseas voter. But wouldn’t it have been really noble and principled if he could have boasted that he had been willing and ready to resign in protest at how the SOE and the lockdown had been used to put the SKNLP at a serious disadvantage? Only when they personally were going to be affected did they mount any protest. If they were really being guided by principle and conscience, none of them would have agreed to build the Basseterre High School on the fragile aquifer. If they were really being guided by principle and conscience, after campaigning that our passports were being sold like black pudding on a Saturday afternoon, and that the money from the sale of passports must be part of the consolidated funds, we would not have been where we are right now.
Today, June 2022, seven years later, our passports are being sold like Vienna sausage during lockdown. Only God and Timothy know what is happening to the SIDF and CBI money, because it is not in the consolidated funds and there is no accounting whatsoever on how these millions of dollars are spent. PLP has no base. That is why he is content to break up families if needs be. Notice how all who join him quickly become like him — ruthless and evil. Any leader that encourages division among families is not a good leader and must be shunned. Vote for the caring HAND of the St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party.
