BASSETERRE, St. Kitts (Tuesday 5th May 2026) — With a festive opening number asking “Who taking it? … who taking the crown tonight!”, contestant number one Destiny Huggins of Constituency Four answered the question in winning fashion as she emerged victorious from a field of eight contestants to capture the Miss Labour 2026 crown on Saturday 2nd May night at Carnival Village. The annual pageant, held under the theme “Investing In People and Progress,” formed part of the St. Kitts-Nevis Labour Party’s (SKNLP) yearly pre-Labour Day activities and attracted scores of party supporters, pageant enthusiasts and energetic constituency cheering sections.
Huggins secured the title with 1,152.5 points, earning loud applause from supporters as she was crowned during the wee hours of Sunday morning by Party Leader and Prime Minister Dr. Terrance Drew. The Constituency Four representative stood out throughout the competition which featured appearances in several judged segments as contestants vied for the coveted crown before an enthusiastic audience at Carnival Village. Finishing as first runner-up was Azalea Juman of Constituency One with 1,108.5 points, while Eushadika Frances of Constituency Three secured the second runner-up position with 1,081.5 points. Dennidra Evelyn of Constituency Six placed third runner-up with 1,062.5 points.
The pageant showcased contestants from across the constituencies in what has become one of the major entertainment highlights leading into the Labour Day celebrations each year. Supporters waved party colours, chanted for their representatives and filled the venue with excitement throughout the evening. The event combined political wit, culture, fashion, confidence and stage presence as contestants competed for top honours while representing their constituencies on one of the party’s biggest stages ahead of Labour Day.
