Mother and Son Charged For Stealing

BASSETERRE, St. Kitts (Thursday 17th May 2018)-A mother and her son -Marcella Fahie and Glenville Fahie both of Government Road, Nevis earlier this month were found guilty of Receiving.

According to the authorities in a statement this week, the charges stemmed from an ongoing investigation into reports of stolen building materials from a number of construction site.

“The Police in Nevis have been investigating a number of cases of larceny that occurred at several construction sites between late January and February in which a number of building materials were reported stolen. As a result of their investigations, on February 18, 2018, Police Officers executed a search warrant on the premises of Marcella Fahie and a number of stolen items were recovered from a structure that was under construction. Both Marcella Fahie and her son, Glenville Fahie, were arrested and charged on February 22 for the offences of Larceny and Receiving”, a police release said.

Consequently, Glenville was convicted and sentenced to three (3) years in prison after pleading guilty to the offence of Receiving while the Larceny charge was withdrawn.

 

His mother, who is also known Marcia, also of Government Road, was convicted and cautioned for the same offence.

 

Marcella, was convicted and cautioned for the same offence.

Police say the trial was one of several for both as they are facing additional charges for Receiving and Larceny.
