BASSETERRE, St. Kitts (Wednesday 24th April 2024) – Five days after the recent shooting death on St. Kitts resulting in the death of 38-year-old Elston Estridge of Conaree Village, police have jailed a young man-also in his 30sin connection to the crime.
Information coming from the Police Public Relations officeshared on Wednesday 24th April 2024revealed that authorities have arrested and charged 32-year-old Jamari Herbert of John Street, Newtown/Upper Monkey Hill, St. Peter’s, for Estridge’s murder.

Reportedly, the criminal act took place on April 18th, 2024, between 1:30 PM and 2 PM. In responding to the scene, police officers observed Estridge lying on the ground with gunshot wounds about the body. He was subsequently pronounced deceased at the scene.
Preliminary investigations indicate that Estridge was accosted by an armed assailant who fled the scene afterwards. The Crime Scene Unit processed the scene and collected evidential items, contributing to the ongoing investigation.
