BASSETERRE, St. Kitts (Monday 7th November 2022)- Kahnein Blanchette, St. Kitts-Nevis’ contestant in the 2022 Miss OECS Pageant is being applauded by fans and other supporters for her overall memorable participation in recent event staged in the island Dominica, which saw her outshining her six competitors – NEWS for the Miss Photogenic Award.
The pageant, which returned after a two year break due to the COVID-19 pandemic, took place on Saturday 5th November 2022 at Old Mill Cultural Centre. Miss Antigua and Barbuda Keriann Thomas won the title and walked away with Best Creative National Wear, Best in Creative National Wear, Best in Swimwear, Best evening Gown and Best in Evening gown Antigua and Barbuda.
Miss Saint Lucia, Kejean Smith took the first runner-up and Miss Grenada Reesa Mcintosh got the second runner-up place and captured The Best Promotional Video, Miss Amity, Best Talent and Best Interview. The other contestants were Miss Anguilla Celine Hodge, Miss Dominica Shannon St.
Hilaire and Miss St Vincent and the Grenadines) Ikeya Providence. Blanchette placed first runner up in the 2021 National Carnival Queen pageant for Sugar Mas 50 (St. Kitts-Nevis National Carnival).
