The GOP exists to serve the interests of the wealthy and big business tycoons that comprise the richest one percent of America’s population. Being a minority entity, they have to indulge in unsavory, deceptive and illegal acts: they lie to survive; their route to political success is rooted in profound deception; they brazen out, steal, gerrymander, lie, and bully their way to victory. Here in St. Kitts and Nevis, and all around the world, people can see these truths being played out in real time. From 1965 onwards we have had the equivalent of the GOP — representatives of the wealthy, the old plantocracy and mercantile classes — doing to us just what the GOP has been doing to the people of America. Friday, 5th June 2020, was undoubtedly the worst and most outrageous example of those acts in recent times. Rather sadly for them, it is going to be a case of Who Can’t Hear Will Feel!
