BASSETERRE (Wednesday 23rd December 2020) — A multi-million dollar housing project by TDC Group of Companies at Dewar’s Estate in west Basseterre is expected to employ a couple hundred workers from various fields — masons, carpenters, plumbers, electricians, air condition technicians, labourers, heavy equipment and truck operators — over the life of the project, with construction beginning in January 2021. The groundbreaking ceremony was held on Tuesday 22nd December 2020. TDC Chairman Earle Kelly said the total cost of all 30 homes will be approximately $16.5 million, with lots ranging from 620 to 724 square feet at $20–$22 per square foot. Eight housing models are offered, ranging from two-bedroom homes at $540,000 to a four-bedroom Blue Belle model at $960,000. To date there have been 143 interested buyers with four confirmed sales.
