Police Identify Body Found

BASSETERRE, St.Kitts (Sunday 28th January, 2018)- Police have identified the body found yesterday to be that of a young man in his 20s.

Dead is 23-year-old Shaquille Pemberton of New Road, St.Peter’s.

Police say his body was found in the Gillards Meadows area  on Saturday afternoon (January 27)  by a passer-by who reported it to the St. Kitts and Nevis Fire and Rescue Services. That department in turn reported it to the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police.

According to police, Pemberton’s body had, what appeared to be, injuries to the chest.

The local authorities have indicated that investigations into the matter are ongoing and that more information will be disclosed as it becomes available.
