BASSETERRE, St. Kitts (Thursday 13th April 2022) — A young man in his 20s has been charged by police for the shooting death of 67-year-old Arthur Henry of Fountain Estate, who went missing for almost two weeks before he was found in the mountain area of his residence. On Thursday 13th April 2022, a police statement revealed that 29-year-old Trevern Edwards of Stapleton Village was charged that day for Henry’s murder. Information reaching this media house indicates that the deceased was an expert karate instructor. The offence was committed on March 24. Police say Edwards remains at Her Majesty’s Prison where he was recently remanded for the separate offence of Assault with Intent to Rob committed on March 11.
An autopsy performed on Henry’s body on Friday 8th April by Resident Pathologist Dr. Adrian Nunez concluded that death was as a result of severe brain injury due to a single gunshot wound to the head. Henry’s body was found in the Fountain Estate Mountain area on April 05; he had been reported missing on March 24. His body was officially identified by members of his family on April 08. Personnel from the Forensic Department processed the scene and items of evidential value were collected.
