BASSETERRE, St. Kitts (Monday 11th May 2026) — The newly-launched candidate of the opposition People’s Action Movement (PAM) for St. Christopher Eight, Natasha Daniel, who hails from the community of Cayon, was unveiled at a press conference held on Thursday 7th May 2026. She is expected to contest the next General Election going up against St. Christopher Eight Parliamentary Representative, PM Dr. Terrance Drew. “I fight. I fight because I want the best for my children. I want the best for my village. I want the best for my single mothers who are struggling. I want the best for every single one of my constituents from Ottley’s right up to St. Peter’s and I’m going to do my very best,” she stated.
PAM Leader Nastasha Grey-Brookes described the selection process as “exhaustive and transparent,” noting that several highly qualified individuals were interviewed: “A number of highly qualified, dedicated individuals were interviewed and carefully considered for this mantle. We looked for more than just a name. We looked for a track record of service and a heart for the people. Most importantly, she was not forced upon you. She was chosen by the people for the people.” Grey-Brookes highlighted Daniel’s nearly 30 years in education and her senior leadership as assistant secretary in the Ministry of Agriculture as credentials: “She represents the bridge between the professional excellence of the civil service and the grassroots heartbeat of the Anglican Church and our local neighbourhoods.”
