BASSETERRE, St. Kitts (Wednesday 15th June 2022) — Two well-known professionals of the local media fraternity have been introduced publicly to contest the 2022 General Elections on the side of the People’s Labour Party (PLP). Ms. Jacqueline Bryan of Constituency 1 and Mr. Stachio Williams of Constituency 5 were identified during a soft launch at the official opening ceremony for the PLP Campaign Office on Fort Street in Basseterre on Tuesday 14th June 2022. Bryan has been a regular host of the Prime Minister’s ‘Leadership Matters’ weekly programme on ZIZ and is a former journalist of WINNFM, while Stachio Williams is the owner of SKNVibes.com and Open Interactive.
Other PLP candidates introduced are: Nubian Greaux (Constituency 2), Kendel Liburd (Constituency 4), Dr. Mark Williams (Constituency 6) and Andrew ‘Talbo’ Bass (Constituency 8). Akilah Byron-Nisbett, Parliamentary representative for Constituency 3, is the PLP’s Deputy Political Leader. PM Harris, who is the Parliamentary Representative for Constituency 7, said of the team: “This is a lively team. This is a nice, nice team. This is the people’s team. These are people you can be comfortable talking to. I am pleased with the talent and experience and how they will help me steer our nation through the difficult times.” The PLP candidates are scheduled to participate in an official launch ceremony on Saturday 18th June in the Greenlands community of Central Basseterre.
