The EU and UK continued talks on post-Brexit trade, with BBC political editor Laura Kuenssberg saying it was looking “very likely” the two sides were “heading towards” an agreement, although it was “not signed and sealed.” The key remaining disputes over fishing rights and business competition rules continued, with Ireland’s Taoiseach Micheál Martin saying talks were “all down to fish.” The two sides have until 31 December, when the UK leaves EU trading rules, to reach a deal. The European Parliament set a Sunday deadline to see any deal text if they were to sign it off by 31 December.
