11/15/2018 5:06 PM PST

7:00 PM PT – Law enforcement sources tell TMZ, Kim went to bed early last night, because she wasn’t feeling well and when family members went to wake her Thursday she was non-responsive. Paramedics pronounced Kim dead at her home.

As for the cause … we’re told she was battling an illness — either the flu or pneumonia — over the last few days and was being treated with Saline and vitamins. Authorities are also looking at a recent trip Kim took to Africa, to determine if she contracted a disease.
No illegal drugs were found.

The coroner will perform an autopsy and perform toxicology tests.

Kim Porter, the model and actress who dated Diddy for 13 years, was found dead Thursday at her L.A. area home … TMZ has learned.

Law enforcement sources tell us they got a call to Porter’s Toluca Lake home around noon. Police are still on the scene right now.

According to emergency dispatch audio the call came in as a patient in cardiac arrest.

DISPATCH AUDIO
A source connected to Kim tells us she’d been suffering flu-like symptoms, and possibly pneumonia, for several weeks, but it’s still unclear what exactly caused her death. Another source says Kim had contacted her doctor just yesterday complaining she wasn’t feeling any better.

Diddy and Kim’s relationship spanned more than a decade with several breakups and makeups. They started dating in 1994 and broke up, for the last time, in 2007.

They have 3 children together — twin girls Jessie James and D’Lila were born in 2006, and she had their son, Christian, in 1998. She also has a son, Quincy Brown, from her previous relationship with Al B. Sure!.

The whole family was last together, in public, supporting Quincy at last month’s premiere for his movie, “The Holiday Calendar.”

Kim worked as both a model and an actress, and she made appearances on Diddy’s show, “I Want to Work for Diddy.”

Diddy’s rep Cindi Berger tells us, “Sadly, I can confirm the passing of Kim Porter. I ask that you give the families privacy at this time.”
Kim was 47.

2017 Protestor: ‘It’s Even Worse Now’

0

By: Spokesman Newsroom

BASSETERRE, St.Kitts (Monday 12th November 2018)–Well-known heavy equipment operator Wilmoth Doyling of Challengers Village who protested outside Government Headquarters in June 2017 tells this media house that “things are even worse now” stemming from the situation which initially pushed him to take to the streets in a one-man protest back then.

“Since I did the demonstration nobody from government reach out to me to hear my views and that’s why I say it’s even worse now. I have put up my truck and backhoe for sale because it’s really difficult. I am behind with some of my bills; it’s really difficult. Anyone interested in buying the equipment can contact me [662-3108],” shares the owner of Doyling’s Backhoe and Trucking Services.

Doyling had been doing work with the National Housing Corporation (NHC) since 1997. He says when he started, he did most of his work through NHC which he counts at about 75% of the jobs he carried out compared to the private work he did.

He says that after the government changed over three years ago, he realised that for a while things would be slow.

“After a while, I realise that I wasn’t getting no calls from NHC”, he commented whilst pointing out that he understood things were slow.

As gathered, after exercising a bit of patience, he noticed the small jobs had stopped.

According to him, in August 2016 he got a call from NHC to clean up around a house in the Half Way Tree community which saw a deduction of his payment due to pipes damaged during that clean-up operation.

After going to collect the cheque having sent his invoice to NHC for the $2700 job was reduced to $2000.

Doyling says there were pipes leading up to the septic tank of the unoccupied house which got broken up in the process of digging out the trees.

As told by him, he informed the NHC technical guy that some of the pipes got broken up to which he got the response that such was expected due to the nature of the work.

He has explained that his payment for the job was cut after a decision by a certain NHC top female official who talked about paying back for the damaged pipes during a meeting. Prior to that deduction, he had indicated his objection to his money being cut since he “couldn’t help with the pipes breaking.”

As gathered, the meeting was held after Doyling visited the company’s accounts department and found out that no cheque was prepared for him.

He said during the meeting which saw the presence of a technical NHC employee (male), the female official said Doyling should have come back to NHC and the trees would have been cut the trees down by NHC and put a chemical to uproot; an alternative which he (Doyling) also challenged since “it did not make sense.”

After that situation, Doyling said he got “very few NHC jobs.”

Then in about April 2017 got a call from NHC to dig two foundations in NHC. He went on to say that after speaking with the contractor about casting the footing promised to bring the materials the afternoon or next day.

The following week of the casting activity, he received another call from NHC Instructing not to carry any material on the job since the person who was supposed to dig the two foundations originally did not have an 18 inch bucket and “ that’s why [I} was called to dig the foundation.”

After expressing that such was “not fair”, he told the NHC caller to ask the top female official to get in touch with him.

Doyling says during that phone conversation with her, she Questioned what he did not understand about the order given for him to “do not carry no materials because the person who was supposed to dig the foundations didn’t have no 18-inch bucket” to which he replied “Well, that ain’t got nothing to do with me. That is not fair.”

“She said to me: Doyling you are too greedy,” he says. He went on to point out he out that before hanging up the phone she said that Lindsay Grant (Minister of Tourism, International Trade, Industry and Commerce) was supposed to visit the NHC the next day and that she would tell him how greedy he (Doyling) is.

According to Doyling, he had the purchase order “with everything” before he dug the foundations.

In an effort to address the matter, he reached out to a female friend employed at NHC for advice, and was told to speak with the company’s chairman following which Doyling’s situation did not improve though the chairman listened closely to the complaints.

After an attempt to get in touch with Minister Grant (who happens to be his parliamentary representative in Constituency Four) via phone the Monday of Music Festival, he shared that he was told by the minister that he did not have time for him then because it was Music Festival Week and that he should check back with him the following week.

As the Parliamentary Representative for the area, Doyling says he expected to have a talk with Grant in the village as opposed to meeting with him in an office.

The businessman also shares that bus drivers and the Public Works Department often contact him when big stones from the hillside affect traffic along the Old Road Bay.
Doyling who describes himself as a “community man” says he has done the stone clean-ups for years without any pay and so he felt “really bad” when Grant indicated that he did not have any time for him that week.

He says that while he protested on Church Street the Friday of Music Festival week, Minister Eugene Hamilton (Minister of Agriculture, Health, National Health Insurance, Human Settlement, Community Development, Gender Affairs, Social Services, Cooperatives and Land) who took his number and promised to call him never did him while Grant questioned him about why it led to a protest.

Doyling’s 2017 placard partly read: “Members and friends of the People’s Action Movement and Team Unity. You say share [Fair) for All. The rain is falling on all over the Federation but the grass is not growing at all……I need some work to do to buy food and pay for my equipment.”

St.Kitts Music Festival Artiste Lightens Public Curiosity

By: Precious Mills
BASSETERRE, St.Kitts (Monday 12th November 2018)-Well-known Jamaican Dancehall artiste 36-year-old Grace ‘Spice’ Hamilton, a past performer of this year’s 22nd annual St.Kitts Music Festival, has shed some light on her recent skin- bleached appearance; a move which has captured worldwide attention with media headlines around the Caribbean region including her home country Jamaica and other reports in the US and UK.

On Monday 22nd October via a post on her social media page Instagram (popularly abbreviated as IG) – which has over one million followers- it was noticed that the artiste had only one photo of herself-having removed the others- with a light skin complexion and blonde hair.

That post had the caption: “Nothing wrong with a fresh start. CLICK THE LINK IN MY BIO and pre order my mix tape it’s ready for preorder today on all platforms. Preorder yours and tag me #Captured so i can post your support.”

Spice’s bleached skin appearance, displayed in videos and photos, received mixed reactions from many fans and followers with some heavily criticising the known dark skin entertainer while others shared their opinion that it was some sort of publicly stunt since the photo came about some eleven (11) days before her new mixed tape called ‘Captured’.

Some of those comments are as follows:

“If this is real I’m disgusted. I’ve never really experienced an instance where I’m ashamed to say I’m Jamaican until now. Never really cared about/for you like that so I’m not disappointed on a personal level but if you ago carry on wid dis foolishniss, kindly put mi flag down please miss. And if this is a publicity stunt to make sales for your little single or whatever it is…sis do better. Have likkle faith inna yourself and your abilities nuh. Lawd, yuh muss shame,” said one female.

“Alright Spice we had enough! Wash off the paint now so we can see that beautiful dark skin. I get your point queen,” said another.

Some eleven (11) days after (Friday 2nd October), Spice responded saying in part: “To put an end to the debate “I DID NOT BLEACH MY SKIN” and I quote “Proud a mi color, love mi pretty black skin, respect due to mi strong melanin” words from my “Black Hypocrisy” song I wrote from my heart.”

Notably, make-up was used to create the artiste’s skin-bleached look.

Posed sitting on a throne and wearing a crown, Spice posted a photo oozing with confidence in her dark skin and addressed the topic in detail.

“On October 22nd I posted a picture of myself where i looked like I altered my appearance and metamorphosis to match the “Eurocentric beauty standards”. I fearlessly addressed an issue that has been swept under the rug and bodily took the stance in bringing a taboo topic to the fore front. I choose to this in the manner I did because I believe Colorism is plagiarizing our black community.”

According to her, the bleached skin image was used to create “shock value”.

“While it appeared as if I had “bleached” my skin, causing a worldwide debate, and even though the picture was obviously birthed around my single titled “Black Hypocrisy” and my mixtape Captured. I want to say it was not a “publicity stunt”. I wanted to create awareness to “Colorism” and was more so done intentionally to create shock value so I could deliver the message in my music.”

Spice pointed out that “There are dark skin women across the world complaining every day that they are being downplayed and degraded, but the raw truth is it is “us women” and “black men” that are fighting against each other and tearing down our own race.”
She added: “It’s evident in the social media comments every day, I myself have lived through it all being downgraded by my dark complexion.”

Spice is of the view that her message about skin complexion would not have gotten the same impact if she had not chosen that widely debated bleached skin image.
“Would the message in my song have been received as well as it did worldwide if I didn’t go to the extreme with the picture? The truth is no it would not have probably been just another Spice hit song; so yes I had to go the extra mile to ensure my message be heard,” she remarked.

Furthermore, she has touched on the misunderstanding some persons had about her promoting skin bleaching.

“Most people got a misconception that I was boosting “Skin bleaching” but ironically it was the opposite. I used myself as an example of what people from the black community is causing other women to do because of how society makes them feel,” she commented.
Despite the serious of the matter as being dear to the artiste’s heart, before her official addressing of the skin lightening topic, she had entertained social media jokes about herself. She even and even light heartedly asked for nicknames saying that she had seen some “funny” one.

“Coconut milk” was apparently a name she really liked.

A comical photoshopped image posted by Spice on her IG account pokes fun at her regarding the popular 2004 White Chicks movie starring brothers well-known black American brother Shawn and Marlon Wayans who played two FBI agents who undercover a couple of blonde, white women.

The changed photo of the movie’s promotional image shows Spice between the brothers as the third star character.

With laughing emotion icons, Spice put the caption:“#Blackhypocrisychallenge unu nah leave me alone now.”

After publicly airing her sentiments, many fans have applauded the dancehall artiste for putting the spotlight on skin bleaching and colourism among the black community.

“Honestly @spiceofficial this has got to be one of the best write up and strategy to get people attention, and also to make coloured people ovastand how power(ful) we are..WE ARE GODS At that KINGS AND QUEENS and we should Be PROUD Of it…just gwan Enuh and keep inspiring the world you Rock..nuff Respek,” said a male while a female said “So glad you did this I’ve dealt with this since grade school.”
The Black Hypocrisy single has gained status of being in the top position (number one) on UK iTunes Chart and on the US Reggae iTunes Chart.

Spice, who is known for songs like ‘So Mi Like It’ and ‘Under Fire’, is of Love and Hip Hop Atlanta fame (Season 7) reality tv having made strides in the US market.

Wedding plans quashed as love sours COP KILLS COP, THEN SELF

Source: www.guardian.co.tt/news (Monday 12th November 2018)

The tainted love between two police officers turned tragic in Mt D’Or, Champs Fleurs, yesterday, after SRP Michael Youksee turned his service weapon on WPC Rackel Kipps, the mother of his two-year-old daughter, killing her before using the gun to also end his own life.

The murder/suicide, coupled with a double murder in Arima, raised the murder toll for the year to 459.

Neighbours said at around 10.30 am an argument erupted at Youksee’s Spring Valley extension apartment.

Police were told it appeared that Youksee had confronted Kipps and challenged her to be truthful, stating that he had given her everything. Youksee’s teenage daughter reportedly tried to intervene in the matter but was shoved out of the room.

Less than 20 minutes later, gunshots shattered the air. Residents said they heard three in total—two initially and then after a pause, a final shot. The sound of a baby crying then prompted the couple’s relatives to enter the home, where they found the two officers in the room bleeding. They called police to the scene upon making the grim discovery.

When officers arrived Kipps was no longer breathing, while Youksee still had a pulse. Officers took him to the nearby Eric Williams Medical Science Complex, Mt Hope, where he died shortly after 1 pm.

District Medical Officer Victor Terapalli visited the scene and pronounced Kipps dead.

Kipps was attached to the Northern Division Senior Superintendent’s office while Youksee was stationed in Tunapuna.

Neighbours expressed shock over the incident as Youksee, also known to them as Kevin and “Uncle” to the children in the community, was said to be extremely affable and pleasant around the neighbourhood.

They added that the violence was not something they saw coming since Youksee took good care of his daughters, especially the two-year-old daughter, at his home.

Youksee also featured prominently on Kipps’ Facebook page, with several pictures of them together as well as their daughter on the timeline.

However, the relationship between the officers, who had plans to get married next month, reportedly turned sour in recent weeks. Kipps reportedly moved out of the home with the couple’s two-year-old daughter last month. The T&T Guardian was also told that a complaint had been filed against Youksee by Kipps recently. Despite this, Kipps yesterday took the child to see her father, at her daughter’s request, neighbours said. It was said that during the argument the matter of them living together was raised once again.

Contacted yesterday, Police Social and Welfare Association president, Inspector Michael Seales, sent out condolences to the families of both officers but said it was too soon to comment on the situation as there were still many facts to be uncovered concerning the incident.

The incident once again brought into focus the need for support services for officers. In September, Seales had pointed out that the Employee Assistance Programme was not functional after the death of officer Ian Hamilton.

Hamilton reportedly ended his life in September, mere hours after performing at a function. Hamilton reportedly had been deeply depressed following the death of his fiancee Natasha Edmund in 2017.

Seales had said then that not enough had been put in place to assist officers who were dealing with emotional trauma, noting that while there were over 200 trained peer counsellors within the service, many officers were unaware who they were and as such were unable to approach them.

In a statement yesterday, the TTPS said they were investigating the circumstances surrounding the deaths of WPC Kipps and PC Youksee.

This was also the second time this year that a domestic incident had led to officers using their service weapons to kill. In early May, Sgt Darryl Honore died at the hospital after a shoot-out with a fellow officer and friend at Grand Bazaar, Valsayn.

When the shooting occurred, the breakdown of Honore’s marriage was believed to have factored in the incident.

Outcry after police shoot African-American security guard ‘hero’

Source: www.bbc.com(Monday 12th November 2018)

An armed security guard at a bar in suburban Chicago was killed by police as he detained a suspected gunman, according to officials and witnesses.

After gunfire erupted around 04:00 local time on Sunday, Jemel Roberson, 26, chased down an attacker and knelt on his back until police arrived.

Moments after police came on the scene, an officer opened fire on Roberson, who was black, killing him.

Friends say Roberson was a musician who had dreams of joining the police.

“The very people that he wanted to be family with took his life,” Patricia Hill, the pastor of Purposed Hill church in Chicago, told WGN-TV.

Roberson worked as a gospel musician at several nearby churches, and also had found work at Manny’s Blue Room in Robbins, Illinois, where the shooting occurred.

Sophia Ansari, a spokeswoman for the Cook County Sheriff’s office, said police were called to the scene after a fight broke out in the bar and four people were shot.

Witness Adam Harris told Fox32 that Roberson, who was armed with a legally owned firearm, then chased down and caught one of the attackers.

“The security guard that got killed, he caught somebody and had his knee on him the whole time,” Mr Harris said.

“Just waiting on the police to get there. I guess when the police got there, they probably thought he was one of the bad guys, cause he had his gun on the guy and they shot him.”

“Everybody was screaming out ‘security, he was a security guard'”, Mr Harris added, “and they still did their job and saw a black man with a gun and basically killed him”.
Images on social media show a chaotic scene outside the bar as witnesses shouted at police.

“He was protecting the club and holding a suspect down,” Mr Harris told CBS.
The chief of the Midlothian police, whose officer fired the fatal shot, said in a statement:

“Upon arrival officers learned there were several gunshot victims inside the bar.”

Chief Dan Delaney continued: “A Midlothian officer encountered a subject with a gun and was involved in an officer-involved shooting.”

Illinois State Police have been asked to investigate the shooting, according to Ms Ansari.
What is the reaction?

Acquaintances say Roberson was a spiritual man, who played organ at several churches in southern Chicago.

“How in the world does the security guard get shot by police?” New Spiritual Light Baptist Church Pastor Walter Turner told ABC7 News.

“A young man that was literally doing his job and now he’s gone.”

An online fundraiser set up for Roberson’s burial expenses had raised over $12,000 (£9,300) as of Monday.

“Jemel was a gifted basketball player and musician, and his love for God and his family were at the forefront of his life,” according to the GoFundMe page.

“Sadly, Jemel’s life was tragically and unexpectedly cut short this morning as he tried to save others from senseless violence.”

According to FBI data, a disproportionately high proportion of police shootings in the US involve black people.S

Couple who named their baby after Adolf Hitler found guilty of being members of banned neo-Nazi group

By Bianca Britton, CNN

Updated 1535 GMT (2335 HKT) November 12, 2018

(CNN)A neo-Nazi couple who named their child after Adolf Hitler have been found guilty Monday of being part of a banned right-wing group in England.

Adam Thomas, 22, and Claudia Patatas, 38, were convicted at Birmingham Crown Court in the country’s West Midlands region for being members of the extreme right-wing organization, National Action. The group was banned in 2016.

According to the UK’s Press Association news agency, the court heard that the couple gave their child the middle name “Adolf” after Hitler, because of Thomas’ “admiration” for him.

Photos were also recovered from the couple’s home that showed Thomas dressed in the white robes of the Ku Klux Klan while holding his son, according to PA.

The jury were also shown a tattoo Patatas has, which reproduces an intricate floor design from inside a former SS headquarters at Wewelsburg Castle in Germany, PA said.

Claudia Patatas, 38, was found guilty of being a member of the banned far-right terrorist group National Action.

The court heard how members of National Action had several methods to disguise their contact with each other and used closed encrypted messaging platforms to organize meetings to spread their ideology.

The group was banned by the UK’s former home secretary, Amber Rudd, after she called it “racist, anti-Semitic, and homophobic.”

Rudd added that it is an “organization which stirs up hatred, glorifies violence, and promotes a vile ideology, and I will not stand for it. It has absolutely no place in a Britain that works for everyone.”

The group was outlawed after it had celebrated the murder of Labour Party member of Parliament Jo Cox.

As part of the same trial, 27-year-old Daniel Bogunovic was also found guilty for being part of the group and three other men admitted they were members prior to the case, West Midlands Police said.

The couple and the four other men will be sentenced in December, PA reported.
Speaking after the verdict, the head of West Midlands Counter Terrorism Unit, Matt Ward, said those convicted “were not simply racist fantasists.”

British soldiers arrested on suspicion of right-wing terrorism

“We now know they were a dangerous, well-structured organization,” he said in a statement on the West Midlands Police website.

“Their aim was to spread neo-Nazi ideology by provoking a race war in the UK and they had spent years acquiring the skills to carry this out. They had researched how to make explosives. They had gathered weapons … Unchecked they would have inspired violence and spread hatred and fear across the West Midlands.”

Ward said that the convictions dealt a significant blow to National Action. “We have dismantled their Midlands Chapter but that doesn’t mean the threat they pose will go away,” he added.

So far, a total of 10 people have either been convicted or admitted they are members of National Action, according to PA.
