In small societies like ours here in the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis, it is easy for us to feel moved at the passing of individuals whether young or old and likewise whether they were quite well-known or not. It is just something within the human spirit that offers a different level of connectedness during times of grief.
In most recent times and up to the present day, many people have been commenting on how important it is to show each other love in this walking life because we never know when we would depart from this earthly dwelling. A pointed example goes to instances whereby we may have seen the individual days or weeks before having laughed and talked with that individual or perhaps just saw him or her looking happy and with no noticeable sign of illness or anything wrong at all.
Hence, to the mind what appears to have been a sudden death brings about various personal emotions and the stark reality of life that truly we are here on borrowed time. Now this editorial piece is not meant to scare anyone but more so encourage us to see the value in living life to the best of our ability.
